This ground, surely, is against Health And Safety laws? It disturbs me that this was once a Premier League ground for not one, but two, clubs. As an away fan I was shocked at the condition of the Arthur Waite Stand, with the back portion having wooden seats and the fact it took about ten minutes to get out of the stand. Three large pillars also make the view slightly obscured if you're sat in the wrong place.
Overall, I feel the ground is run-down and could use one hell of a facelift, although with Palace's recent financial trouble this doesn't look to be in the pipeline.
Having been to Selhurst Park once I would easily say I'll never go back again. Then again if we were to draw Palace in a Cup competition, I may change my mind...
Relatively near to Thornton Heath Station which had a good Whetherspoons opposite. It's a bit of a walk but not too bad.
Very uncomfortable and the view can be very poor if you're sat near to the large posts that support the roof. The roof, as an after thought, looks a bit unsafe.
Limited toilet facilities and limited food kiosks. Unless you go before or after half time you have no chance of getting food and drink and you'll be lucky to use a toilet.
Cannot say as I was unable to get near enough to purchase any.
Helpful and relatively polite.
It was only a pre-season friendly but a bumper crowd of 21,345 turned out for the game against Chelsea. In all fairness Chelsea put out a very weakened squad, made up mostly of youth players, but the Palace fans created a bit of noise in the second half. It wasn't a great atmosphere though, as you would expect for a pre-season game.
