I did not have a good day at St Mary's. It seems to be located in a horrible spot with nothing around the ground but industry. I did not feel safe in the ground which was because of the stewards and there was no atmosphere at all. Its a soulless bowl, when you are in the ground its well constructed but the only difference to other such bowl stadiums was the colour of the seats. I would not go back again.
It is in the centre of an industrial estate and there did not seem to be anything nearby.
The view of the pitch was good and everything you expect of a modern ground.
Again what you would expect from a modern ground.
I can't remember if I got a drink but I certainly didn't eat anything though what was on offer seemed to be ok.
The stewards were terrible and there was of course the drum incident. First they let the drum into the ground then they decide after about 20 minutes of play that its making too much noise and they want to remove the drum which they had let in! They then took an absolute age to remove the drum forcing hundreds of Blackpool fans to stand up in the seats to be able to see over the heads of the mass of stewards to watch the game. It was an absolute disgrace.
No atmosphere bar what we brought!
