I do not have much experience on Football League grounds. However Sincil Bank is one of the few i have watched matches at and is arguably one of the best stadiums in lower league football.
LEAGUE 2 is one of the most fascinating leagues in England. My club - Lincoln City F.C. seem to have developed the knack for avoiding relegation (and promotion) every season. In this dog-eat-dog league, standards are never going to compare to that of the Premier League. However, Passion, pride, history and culture embrace literally 'hundreds' of fanatical supporters every year. It is the dedication of the fans that make a matchday at a F.L. ground so special.
So, with my narrow experience on football stadia, here is my review of Sincil Bank.
It is easy enough to find the ground (following fans and signage generally works for me ;)). Being close to the centre of Lincoln, you are never too far from shops and parking.
The sharp climb of the Lincolnshire-Echo stand boasts one of English football's finest views. Despite having to pay £5 more for this privilege it is worth it for my annual pilgrimage.
The away seating is placed at the end of the Sincil Bank's largest stand which runs parallel to the pitch
Other seating is of good enough standard for England's lowest league of football professionalism.
You may only have to have to wait 5-15 minutes for tickets on a matchday. It's not really that busy.
The last time I went, matchday programmes were of superior quality and cost £2 each.
The supporters lounge is available to all. Although normally very full of fans, there is no better place to soak up the pre-match atmosphere.
Beer is available, and common sense would tell you there are burger vans tucked into sneaky places.
These people will do a sterling job of helping you on your way. However I was only slightly disappointed when my Scottish 'Sterling' was refused at the stile! :D
Everything you'd expect - the zealous but... salty manner of English football.
Again, I would recommend the Echo stand for a slightly more sedate approach to the matchday experience.
