Finest pitch in Scottish leagues. The "beautiful game" was meant to be played on this surface which allows the finest passing, free flowing, inter linking football seen. Utopia. A perfect view both on the pitch and beyond.
Forget the cold, with the gaps between the stands. Forget the wind hammering into your face from the Moray Firth, even when you have your back to it, you still feel it. Ignore when the sun changes direction and you can't see a thing as it burns into your eyes. Even with a squint you can still see the drama and excellence taking place on the green carpet. Forget the cramped seats in the goal end stands. Forget the less than average pies that are either warm and dried out or boiling and which scald your fingers and mouth. The tea aint great, the coffee not much better, but you don't go to a game to eat, you go to be entertained.
Ignore the sweety rustling main stand where noise is only heard every 3rd game. Would you ever loudly slurp or suck every drop of coke out of a carton with a straw at a Placido Domingo concert or let your mobile ring loudly during an Oscar winning acceptance speech? Silence is golden and enjoy the moment.
Who needs to sing at a game? Who cares if we don't know what to call ourselves? Are we Inverness? Are we Caley or are we Thistle? Or are we Inverness Caledonian Thistle? Whatever the name, the game is the same. Football + view + quality = Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. Everyone is welcome, unless they're towing a caravan and half a tonne of copper scrap from over the bridge.
