"What football once was!"

has rated Ayresome Park 5.0 out of 5.

dogwwoo's review of Ayresome Park

The atmosphere the pitch the smell of bovril. A proper old school Archibald Leitch ground with character and a uniqueness which is lost in the identikit ground of the Riverside.

Location

On the edge of the town centre.

View

Comfort wasn't a concern in the Holgate.

Facilities

A wall and a drain!

Food & Drink

Bovril

Atmosphere

Some of my happiest memories. Watching John Neal, Bruce Rioch and Lennie Lawrences attacking teams.
