One of the best away games I've done, everything about it was fabulous, a resounding 5-1 win has us in the quarter finals of the FA Cup.
A decent stadium, fantastic away end as we were given the whole stand, 7200 West Ham fans was a joyful sight.
It was more of home match, empty seats everywhere in the home end.
A bit confusing, due to travelling from London, having to change at Preston, we got a connecting train to Blackburn but ended up getting off at Mill Hill due to the train being rammed, and very conveniently Ewood was only round the corner.
Very nice view, in a fantastic crowd.
Very impressed with how cheap it was unlike my usual Premier League ends, and they did Bulmers so happy days.
The only downer on a fantastic day was the attitude of the Police, some were nice but there were a few who were not very helpful and quite aggressive, I was threatened to be arrested for chanting "Irons" when getting off the train at Preston, which was completely uneccesary and was an example of abusive power, also another example of Northern Police taking a dislike to Londoners, the other being at Manchester City last April.
after the game there was huge confusion with the trains, we weren't sure where to go, the Police urged us to go to Manchester and get to London from there, however that was a farce, as we would've missed our train and the tickets would've been invalid, just a way to try and get rid of us unfortunately
One of the best atmospheres I've been involved in, 7200 West Ham filled that stand and did not stop. It was as if we were the home fans!!
