"Amazing ground, amazing atmosphere"

We watched Wisla play Gdansk on a family trip in October 2013. We wanted to see what foreign football was like. We were told that we need to pay before hand and we needed ID but we thought we should try. We queued and got to the desk where we were told that we needed to become members and we could do if we went upstairs. After asking what all the Polish writing meant, we had t pay 10 Zloty each (£2) and we were then members! we then went downstairs and we were told that because it was our first game, all seats were only five Zlotys which equates to £1. We were given the recommended seats and watched the game with the truly outstanding fans. The stadium was impressive and we would love to go again.

Location

The ground is a about a 20 minute walk from the main square in Krakow. If you ask a tour guide they would say it is miles away but you can also get a tram which is half the time.

As I said, we were given the recommended seats so we had a great view of the game with no obstruction.

Facilities

There were lots of toilets inside the ground which were really clean. There was also a shop which sold memorabilia inside the ground as well where you could buy shirts and footballs.

Food & Drink

There are hot dog stalls and people selling the typical polish bagels. There are people standing watching the game with pints of beer which is served at the seat as well but they are not there for the whole of the game.

Police & Stewards

The stewards can be firm but are fair due to the amount of pyros in the country. Not many understand English but if you stand back they wont say anything.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere is truly amazing! There are fans behind the goal who sing for the whole game and shout own microphones. They are all wearing red and dance to the Poznan (even if the opposition have scored!). We watched the game against Lechia Gdansk in the polish cup so there was not half as many fans there as there is on a usual league game.
