dclark1984 has rated Broadhall Way (Lamex Stadium) 1.5 out of 5.
The ground is not bad - the away end is covered and seated. The location is fairly soulless, essentially being at the side of a dual carriageway 20 minutes from the town centre. Food facilities minimal, which with Portsmouth having sold out the away end was annoying, as was the queue for the toilets. The toilets were full of people smoking because stewards had stopped them doing so outside, which was counter productive and not something the junior fans should have been exposed to while going for a wee! Atmosphere from the home end was minimal, and the club clearly weren't geared to cope with large away support - many Pompey fans not in place for kick-off due to poor stewarding. However, the stewards and staff were very friendly throughout, as were the home fans - even if they didn't make much noise during the 90 minutes.
An extra half mark for being within walking distance of the station.
The inside of the steak pie I had was still hotter than the sun midway through the second half! Weak coffee.
Struggled to get people in place, but friendly throughout and all wished us a safe journey home.
