davidapattison-67 has rated Warout Stadium 4.0 out of 5.
Although the location of Warout Stadium can be difficult to find, the ground itself is well appointed. There is dedicated car parking at the stadium, a large comfortable all seated stand and good catering facilities. there is however little atmosphere during matches due to the fact that this is an athletics stadium so that spectators are further than normal; from the action and most of the stadium is a wide open landscape. Nevertheless a good stadium to visit on wet afternoons.
The ground is in fact an athletics stadium owned by the Fife Council and forms part of a sports comjplex which includes several football pitches. The changing rooms for all of the pitches are within the grandstand which is used for spectators attending Glenrothes F.C. matches.
Located in one of the neighbourhoods on the south side of Glenrothes new town, the ground can be difficult to find if travelling by car. The 38; 39; 39A and X37 bus services between Glenrothes town centre and Kirkcaldy all pass the ground.
There is a car park, and supplementary car parks at the ground, although when matches are being played on all the pitches at the same time as Glenrothes matches attracting good crowds then car parking could be difficult in which case street parking is an option.
Spectating is from a large, fully seated grandstand with ample leg room between the rows of seats. There are hospitality lounges at the rear of the stand and overlooking the pitch. the rest of the spectating area is a shallow grass banking around the pitch.
There is an excellent view of the pitch from any part of the well tiered stand seating, the only negative point being due to the athletics track the spectators are some distance away from the action of the pitch.
Toilets are located underneath the stand and are clean and sufficient to cope with attendances at this league level.
there is a separate kiosk adjacent to the stand dispensing the usual range of pies, burgers, and other hot an cold snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Service is quick and seldom need to queue.
None in attendance
Difficult to generate much atmosphere due to the scale of the stand dwarfing normal numbers of spectators. The wide open nature of the rest of the stadium also reduces the opportunity to create any atmosphere amongst spectators. Local support friendly
