davidapattison-67 has rated Keirs Park 4.0 out of 5.
Keirs Park is a well kept football ground and must rank as one of the better Junior football grounds in the East Region leagues. The Park is easily accessible a short walk from the bus routes through Hill O\' Beath but car parking can be problematical if there is reasonable sized crowd attending a match. I attended a local derby between Hill O\' Beath Hawthorn and Kelty Hearts and although the crowd wasn\'t large (c.200 max.) car parking spaces were at a premium within five minutes walk to the ground.
Inside the ground there are two separate covered terracing areas, and a new clubhouse. There are minimal obstructions to viewing the pitch from the covered areas but these are not a major inconvenience. the ground facilities include a catering unit and undoubtedly toilets although these were not used on this visit.
The pitch is level and looks in good playing condition.
In summary this is a pleasant ground and facilities make watching football here an enjoyable experience.
the ground is located on the edge of a housing estate in Hill o\' Beath and can be seen across a couple of fields from the main road between Crossgates and Cowdenbeath. There is a regular bus service from Dunfermline and Cowdenbeath, and less than five minutes walking from the bus stop takes you to Keirs Park. There is a small car parking area on the main road (look for the statue of Jim Baxter) which is a short walking distance from the ground and elsewhere there is limited parking in the housing estate otherwise street parking is the norm although kerbside spaces can be difficult to find near the ground.
There are two separate entrances to the ground which facilitates car parking and walking approaches to the Park - one in directly into the covered standing area and the other in the opposite corner of the ground.
There are no seating areas, but there are two covered terracing areas on opposite touchlines. these are well placed extending for a short distance on either side of the centre line. the rest of the spectating area is either a shallow stepped concrete terracing or grass surrounds separated from the playing pitch by a single rail barrier.
There is a little obstruction to viewing the playing area by the support stanchions of the covered enclosures but these are not major structures and thus not a significant issue unless there wwas a large crowd restricting movement in the spectating area.
there is what appears to be a mobile catering trailer inside the ground. This was closed on my visit due to a family bereavement and thus no comment on range or standard of catering
no police or stewards present on my visit and no need to have them present, even though the match was a local derby with Kelty Hearts
there was some atmosphere due to the fact this was a local derby league match, but this mainly involved \'banter\' between a few rival individual supporters, and offering advice to both sets of coaches and players.
