davidapattison-67 has rated East Shore Park 2.5 out of 5.
East Shore Park is a neat, well kept football ground occupying a constricted site just off Newburgh town centre. Public transport services are however limited and car parking is limited to nearby streets. The facilities, apart from toilets, are adequate to meet the needs of local and visiting supporters.
East Shore Park is shoe horned into a site surrounded by narrow streets and housing with one end open to the River Tay. The ground is a short walk from the eastern end of Newburgh's Main Street and is easy to find once arriving in the town.
Public transport access is limited to bus services from Perth and Cupar (Fife). Car parking is also very restricted and is mainly street parking a short walk from the ground as there is no immediate parking adjacent to the ground due to the narrow width of the streets. There is a bus garage car park which appears to be available on mach days and is close to East shore Park.
The river end of the ground has the clubhouse and half the area as a grassy banking. The opposite end is also a grassy bank with houses behind.
In view of the confined nature of the park the spectating area along the touchlines is restricted in width although it is accessible for the full surround of the playing surface. there is a three step deep terraced enclosure along most of the east side of the ground, and another narrow terraced enclosure on one half of the opposite touchline. Both these enclosures have a mix of standing areas and seating, although the seating comprises garden benches and wooden planks on top of concrete blocks, both with ample leg room.
The enclosures are supported by a series of this pillars along the touchlines, but whilst these stand between the pitch and the terracing/seating their width as such does not restrict the view of the playing surface.
Facilities within the ground are minimal and there are few toilets
The usual range of hot and cold snacks and hot and cold drinks are dispensed from a servery window in the club house. Prices are reasonable.
Police and stewards not applicable but local fans friendly and helpful
Very small crowd at the match I attended, but would imagine due to the constricted nature of the ground a good atmosphere could be generated at local derbies, cup ties etc.
It was a pleasant sunny autumn day on my visit, but I would think that in the winter and on dull days if there is a wind coming in the open end from across the River Tay to the north this could be a cold spectating experience.
