davidapattison-67 has rated Beechwood Park (Sauchie) 4.0 out of 5.
This is one of the best rgrounds in the East Region Junior leagues. There is excellent viewing, good seating and shelter from the elements. The facilities are more than adequate and visiting supporters appear to be made welcome.
Ground is easy to find just of the main road on the edge of Sauchie town centre. The ground has a car park but fills up quickly at big matches. Good bus service from Alloa passes adjacent to the ground which is signposted on the main road. Train service and express bus service to Alloa from Stirling then 15 minute local bus journey.
Excellent view of pitch from all parts of the ground. 180 seater cantilever stand and seats have plenty leg room. Covered enclosure on concrete terracing opposite stand at centre line. Remainder of pitch surrounded by low brick wall and grass standing area - only banked behind one goal.
Toilets are type of portaloo adjacent to the stand - again maybe too few if large crowd at match, but clean and reasonable standard.
Usual fare - pies, bovril, burgers, soft drinks etc. at fair prices, dispensed from servery window in the stand wall. Members social club under the stand.
Stewards very helpful and friendly
Good atmosphere between rival supporters seated in the main stand even though it wasn\'t full. Probably more difficult to create an atmosphere on the grass terracing around the rest of the ground unless in the covered enclosure
