"Craphole!"

This loveable craphole is full of character, but I imagine a bit of a H&S nightmare - the only space outside the seating area in the away end is an almost single file gang way! Lack of in-ground booze marks Fratton down. We came for an FA Cup 3rd round match and were well turned out, the away end seemed too small to house our allocation! My sentimentality for old grounds with individuality saves Fratton from a really low mark.

Easy to walk from Fratton station - pretty deek.

They seemed to let too many in, although I can't imagine how that's possible in the modern era. My aisle berth became a gangway berth and I got shouted at by the old bat behind - booo!

Traps were rudimentary - through in the floor style!

Poor - no beer!

Police & Stewards

There was no trouble, so not applicable, really.

Atmosphere

I came expecting Pompey to be in boisterous voice, as per their reputation, but sadly their financial plight had inspired apathy rather than vigour. A half empty ground, we made plenty of noise though and the acoustics were good.
