Barkingside 5 Harold Wood Athletic 3 (Pre-Season Friendly. At Caterham High School 3G pitch, Clayhall) 19th July 2012. This was my first ever visit . Was back six days later to see Barkingside beat Buckhurst Hill 2-0 in another Pre-Season Friendly. Looked a good investment by the School to install this Pitch as Schools have to look to other ways to raise revenue (a proper way to teach Business Studies and as good as a Classroom setting). Not heard of it being used for such matches since. Saw no vending machines or any kind of refreshments for sale. So it's advised to stock up at a local newsagent or even in nearby Barkingside Town Centre if this ground is ever used again for Friendlies or for Junior Football.
For public transport Bus 128 form either Barkingside Town Centre or Romford is the best way to reach this ground.
Unlike some 3G pitches spectators were allowed inside the cage to watch the matches I saw here. Unless you're happy to sit in the floor it's standing only here.
Parking is either in the small car park or street parking.
Can either be obtained from a local convenience store or nearby Barkingside Town Centre for more choice.
