calara99 has rated Roundwood Sports Complex 5.0 out of 5.
It's a small ground with seats behind one goal and a small covered stand on one side. On a cold February Saturday there weren't too many supporters but a good atmosphere, and best of all is that the team play good passing football. A rareity at this level.
A bit tricky by public transport. Train to Rotherham Central and then walk across the river to the bus station. Take a bus to Rawmarsh and visit the excellent Something Brewing Micro pub - a 10 minute walk to the ground.
Seats are all behind one goal - better to stand if you can. Stupendous views across the valley to the steelworks and beyond.
Toilets are in a porta-cabin in one corner. Just about OK - more Bootham Crescent than Wembley :-) You're almost on the pitch to get in!
Small kiosk selling non alcoholic drinks and sausage rolls. OK but not spectacular.
No police needed
A great day out made especially so by the home fans - and by team winning. This is a proper non league ground - hopefully will be going again next year.
