bigaitch has rated New River Stadium 3.0 out of 5.
The New River Stadium is a really lovely facility with a 3G pitch and a huge stand on one side with about 1,200 seats in it, all raised and giving a decent view across the pitch, albeit at a distance due to the running track. However, Park View sadly attract pretty meagre crowds which is a shame as they try and play good football and seem a really friendly club. However, a crowd of around 40 in such a cavernous stand is totally lost.
The ground is literally 250 yards along White Hart Lane from Haringey Borough FC. Busses from White Hart Lane BR and Wood Green underground stop more or less outside. There is parking at the ground but this is pay and display and did not appear cheap. I found a side street a minute or so away.
The view is good but as stated earlier distant from the pitch in common with other grounds with tracks. However the fact the stand is considerably raised does allow for a good view.
Plenty of loos in the stand and also in the cafe behind the goal. They were kept to a decent standard too.
Pretty average fare to be honest but was okay. The cafe services not only the stadium, but the gym underneath the stand, and the floodlit small sided pitches on the far side from the stand. Be advised that on my visit, in September 2019 it was card payment only.
None
Generating atmosphere with small crowds in a big ground just is not going to happen.
However those that were very friendly.
