bigaitch has rated Jack Carter Centre 3G Pitch 2.5 out of 5.
This is a 4G in a cage and only three sided, and the only cover is the two small Atcost stands on one side. Added to the fact the clubhouse and facilities are all about 50 yards or so away and it is not going to be the greatest. However having had a year away whilst this new development was built, it is great to see Frenford back in their own manor and there is a huge scope to expand if and when the need arises. Huge bonuses are it’s location, and it’s links to public transport, see below.
The location of the ground is excellent, especially when one considers the fact it is in London. Ilford Stationon the mainline, and Gants Hill on the Central Line are both only 15 minute or so walk away, and there is in addition ample parking on site. The area is well served with busses too.
Pretty good view of the game although I stood in a crowd of only around 70 or so. The seats are the low slung metal type and do would not give a great view as they are low down.
Difficult to judge as none were open due to Covid implications. However there is a large clubhouse and cafe on site.
Toilet wise, nothing inside the actual cage, and the building housing the changing rooms and clubhouse is about 50 yards from the pitch.
Unable to judge due to them being closed. (Covid related).
Not applicable.
Frenford do not have the biggest of crowds but now being back home in Ilford there is an opportunity to develop a fan base.
