This is a superb old stadium, renovated but in a sympathetic way which retains its character. My favourite Dutch Ground.
It is a little way out of the City centre, however it is only 15 minutes or so by tram that goes straight to the stadium. After the games, although the teams get busy, they have them lined up and ready to go back, so the queue goes reasonably quickly.
Plenty of leg room. My seat on the second tier was in the corner of the stadium but gave a superb panoramic view.
Loads of food and merchandise outlets plus plenty of toilets.
Did not eat or drink in the stadium as I had done so outside.
Plenty of police outside, and stewards inside and all friendly and decent enough.
Outstanding. Feyenoord fans did not stop signing from before the start until after the final whistle, and it made for a great atmosphere. As has been said before, it puts English fans to shame for the atmosphere. Highly recommended.
