bigaitch has rated Church Hill 3.0 out of 5.
Really pleasant ground for step 7. There is no cover or seats, but there is decent clubhouse and the pitch is fully railed off. The pitch itself is very good and this is a club with real pride in their set up.
The ground is in the middle of nowhere, however , so in truth is White Notley ! Witham is a few miles away and Braintree a bit further in the opposite direction. White Notley has a railway station with services too and from London via Witham but this is a good mile and a half from the ground. There is parking at the ground, outside in a lay-by on the main road or behind the far end by the training pitch.
Absolutely fine view . No obstructions whatsoever .
All the facilities , loos, bar and cafe are in the clubhouse. No toilets pitch side as it were.
Did not sample any but bar was doing a good trade and seemed popular. Nicely turned out bar with plenty of old pictures etc on the walls.

Very friendly. I got talking to a guy who it transpired was the clubs chairman, and was very friendly as were others at the game I saw. Highly recommended visit.
