My recent visit to the Lashmar was 14th November 2017, where Brighton U23's broke East Preston hearts by coming from 2-0 down to steal victory in extra time.
East Preston 2-3 Brighton & Hove Albion U23’s (AET) Sussex Senior Cup 2017/18
The club is relatively small, but what impresses me about this ground the most is the social club which forms part of the ground and matchday experience.
The ground has one and only very small stand with roughly 50 seats (some broken) which I sat in and had a good view. Mainly terracing all round, the ground is surrounded by trees.
Main facility is the social club which looked quite cosy and well supported
Good food available, for this game in particular the club’s chairman said in his programme notes “you could pre-order food for half time†as they were expecting a big crowd on that night (and he wasn’t wrong!)
Friendly
Buzzing and an enjoyable evening from the first whistle. You could easily tell who were the ‘true supporters of EP’ and for good measures some even lit a flare when the teams emerged.
The attendance was over 300+ which is magnificent for a very small club.
