My recent visit to Newcastle United’s St James’ Park was 21st September 2019, where both teams played out a goalless draw, although Brighton found the back of the net it was ruled offside.
Newcastle United 0-0 Brighton & Hove Albion, Premier League 2019/20
The stadium has an unusual look because two stands are higher than the other. It looks impressive and has a unique view for away fans.
I should point out to anybody reading my review who’s frightened of heights, it’s probably not best for you!
The away fans are housed in the top tier of the stadium. Given how high it was, I found the view of the pitch superb. Another bonus is the view of the city and countryside in the distance.
Once you have climbed up the many flights of stairs you reach the concourse. It was smart, clean, with plenty of space to move around when the queues start building up. There was plenty of windows allowing lots of natural light.
Very happy with the options available.
Very friendly and helpful
Slightly strained due to issues between home fans and their owners – lots of empty seats.
