Bognor, the current holders of the Sussex Senior Cup, in a blistering first half. Despite pulling two goals back in the second half it was too little too late for Bognor who were left stunned.
Bognor Regis Town 2-7 Brighton & Hove Albion u23’s, Sussex Senior Cup 2019/20
The ground is great for a well-supported non-league team. Plenty of green and white around terracing sections. A unique feature is the LED scoreboard which spelt out ‘goal’ when Bognor score – very amusing.
I was standing in the terraces to get a good view which paid off. Only downside was the glare of the floodlights. For fans wanting to have a seat, it will cost £1 in the main stand.
The Club shop caught my attention, as they have lots of merchandise on sale which is quite impressive. Food kiosks are porta cabins.
Good range of hot food and beverages at a good price served by friendly staff.
Bognor have a very good fanbase and proved it by singing and banging their drums proudly throughout, despite the fact they were losing heavily.
