My recent visit to the Etihad stadium (City of Manchester stadium) was 31st August 2019, where Brighton were blown away by City’s quality which we had no answer too.
Manchester City 4-0 Brighton & Hove Albion, Premier League 2019/20.
Before football, the stadium was the venue for the 2002 Commonwealth games and then rebuilt and expanded for football and other sporting events.
Even though it looks impressive inside, outside the stadium has a slightly dull look apart from a few photos. The one notable area for home supporters pre-match entertainment is the ‘Blue Moon café’ and the fan zone where they poke some fun at Man Utd and recently Liverpool.
I was in the upper tier which is the best view in the stadium. However, in some seats you are incredibly close to home supporters with only a barrier and stewards separating the two. Apart from that I didn’t find any problems.
The concourse wasn’t too bad I felt it could be slightly longer as will be packed.
Disappointed as there isn’t a great selection available apart from pies, crisps and sweets. There was not much hot food to offer other than pies.
Friendly and helpful.
City fans were in good voice.
