My recent visit to the Enclosed Ground (TerraPuca Ground) was 23rd January 2018, where Brighton U23’s beat fellow locals Whitehawk on a wet and foggy night.
Whitehawk 1-3 Brighton & Hove Albion U23’s, Sussex Senior Cup 2017/18
The ground is reasonably sized with three stands. Interestingly two stands behind the goals were originally from the Withdean Stadium (Brighton’s former home).
Whitehawk is well supported club with enthusiastic fans.
I was sitting in the main stand near the centre circle which provided a good view with no support pillars in the way.
Club house was friendly and very welcoming, even saw the Whitehawk manager getting a cup of tea! There’s an impressive artwork of a hawk on the side of the club house.
Good selection of hot food and drinks on offer especially as it was a very cold night.
Saw a few about and they were strict if any shenanigans took place.
Considering this is Brighton’s closest and possibly ‘true’ rivals, Whitehawk fans were very friendly and I spoke to a few of the Ultras before kick-off. They were singing, banging their drums and even lit a flare when they scored!
