This is exactly what a football stadium should be. It may be small but it is smart and tidy and the smaller size makes it feel more intimate and creates a better atmosphere.
The stadium is situated right on the banks of the Moray Firth, in the shadow of the massive Kessock Bridge, giving it possibly the most dramatic location of any football club in Britain. There is plenty of parking right next to the stadium, so no travelling fan should ever have to walk more than a few hundred yards from their car/coach to the gate. The ground is easy to get to and has easy access. It doesn't take too long to get away after a game, although it can become congested.
Wherever you sit, you're guaranteed an excellent view of the pitch. There are no obstacles in the way so no seat is obstructed. The seats are comfortable enough, being the normal sort of seats you'd usually find in a football ground, and there is plenty of legroom.
The stadium has enough toilet facilities and they are usually immaculate. But how clean can you ever really get a toilet used by thousands of people every week?
There are food and drink kiosks inside the stadium with long counters and enough serving areas so lots of people can be served very quickly. Queuing is never normally a problem as there are enough staff on hand to serve quickly and there is usually a very big and long catering truck parked outside on matchdays, meaning it very rarely queues at any kiosk. The food and drink prices are very good, a lot cheaper than most grounds I've been to.
There is a good police presence on matchdays in and around the stadium. There is very rarely any reason for the police to leap into action as the club and the city of Inverness itself have the lowest crime rating in the UK. The stewards can be a bit a bit petty sometimes, and the locals tell me they have names for the more pathetic ones. But mostly they are a good laugh and you can have a bit of a joke with them.
The locals are brilliant and despite the small size of the stadium the atmosphere they create is brilliant. I have been deafened more when Inverness have scored at the TCS than when I saw Chelsea score 3 at Stamford Bridge.
