arnfurious' review of Sixways Stadium

Sixways is a rugby ground. There's no escaping that. The pitch markings are for rugby and the goals are on the pitch and there's no dugouts or subs benches. However, for a non-league ground it's incredible. For tier 10 it's out of this world. There's no stadium like it at this level. Not even close. Should the Raiders replicate on the pitch the standard of the stadium they play in they could make it into the football league.

Location

It really does depend on your choice of transport. It's easy to drive to. It's just off the motorway. You can get there via bus and it's not a busy because Raiders are still a tiny club. However if you like train journeys it's miles away from the rail. I walked 3 miles along a canal to get there though, and it was a very pleasant trip.

View

Excellent. Loads of leg room. Great view of the pitch from tiered seating. They only sell tickets for the biggest stand, which is a bit of an issue when it's 30 degrees outside and you're sat in a stand with no shade. Otherwise, great.
