I had minimal expectations for Worcester City's new ground at Claines Lane. It's the home of the Worcestershire FA and I was expecting a training pitch and not much else. What I actually got was a lovely experience. Standing just outside the Worcestershire FA's bar with a pint of Carling watching from a small hill, under the shade of a tree.
It's around 2 miles from the city centre but it's a pleasant enough stroll if that's your bag. Car parking was at a nearby school as the titular lane is very narrow.
Sensational view from the hill but it's a ground that can comfortably fit 500 without a bad view. There are limited views from behind the dugouts, unless you're 7 feet tall, but apart from that it's great for views. I would recommend going up the hill by the bar/hot dog stand. That seems to be the best view but the stands are great for views too.
Hot dog van and a reasonably well stocked bar with a seating area. There are limited seats in the two stands but for the level it's fine.
