"Huge ground, worth the visit"

A huge and impressive ground, well worth the visit; however it was not a match to inspire.

Location

The ground is sound of the city centre and surrounded by car parks. Free on-street parking is available, but a good walk away. We parked a mile south of the ground, as did many locals.

View

We had seats at the back of one of the corners, meaning we were under the angled roof, so you cannot see much of the other stands. Clear view of the pitch, if a little distant. Seats were fine and there was enough room to move.

Facilities

Up at our level, the number of toilets were non sufficient for the number of fans.
There is a huge fan shop outside the ground.
They do sell a match programme, but only from the shop or the smaller shops around the ground.

Food & Drink

There further up you go, the less food and drink is available. You need a stadium card, which is easy to buy (sellers have a big white flag) to pay for anything inside the ground. Plenty of venders outside the ground who take euros.

Police & Stewards

They have information stewards who were helpful and spoke good English.
Other stewards were fine.
As usual a heavy Police presence.

Atmosphere

Not as good as I expected, a little subdued, maybe as they were not playing that well. The yellow wall was active as were the Sporting fans, so a decent atmosphere. Despite the large number of fans it was not really buzzing before or after the game either.
