Bremen SV vs Leher TS von 1898 Bremerhaven - 12th August 2016 - Bremen Oberliga
Small ground, tucked in under a flyover. Very friendly, good football and entertaining.
Early evening kick-off, which clearly was due the ground not having floodlights.
The ground is invisible from the street, you have to walk through a car park under a flyover to find the entrance. Plenty of on-street parking. Not that far from the city centre and on bus routes.
Terracing on three sides of the ground. One covered stand down onside of the pitch. Unreserved seating, entry is to the ground, so you can sit where you like.
Close to pitch, so good views.
No programme or fan shop.
Toilets in the club house.
Food and drink stalls just inside the ground, plus a clubhouse.
Good food at reasonable prices.
No police and few stewards.
Bremen are the best team in the league and chose not to go up for financial reasons. So a 6-1 win, meant the crowd was happy. Brilliant own-goal by the home keeper. The away assistant manager had a row with the manager in the first half, stormed off and was never seen again. All that entertained the crowd, who like us, found it somewhat unusual.
