"Once inside, a good arena, just issues outside"

We had problems getting to and from the ground, but once inside it was an excellent arena.

Location

The ground is bordered by the river and the huge messe (exhibition centre). Meaning that access is an issue. On the other side of the ground, they put out posts across all the side roads, stopping you from getting into them and parking. We parked the other side of the messe and walked in. The pavements disappeared and we ended up on the road. After the game stewards forced us to cross to the other side of the road, which became impossible to cross as there were no crossings and the traffic from the car parks were flying down. Outside the ground the signage is invisible, we had no idea which stand was which. The steward sent us to the wrong entrance.

Once inside however, the ground is excellent; decent seats, plenty of space and clear sightlines.

Facilities

Plenty of toilets.
Programme for one euro.
Good fanshop inside the ground on the wide concourses.

Food & Drink

Plenty of outlets. Coffee was unusually dear, otherwise alright.

Police & Stewards

Stewards outside the ground were pretty disinterested and did not really help.
Lady on the box office was helpful, even though she had poor English.

Atmosphere

Not a full house, by some distance. The Dresden fans were excellent, helps when you score after 25 seconds and dominate. The home fans stayed with their team, even though they did not really play until the last ten minutes. No trouble.
