Epsom & Ewell Fc v AFC Hayes
Combined Counties League Premier Division
Saturday, 26th November 2016
2-2 (1-0)
Basic non-league ground, but an interesting atmosphere!
The ground has a small car park, which we parked in. Basically off a country lane, so going by car is the best way to get there.
There is one small, four row, covered stand on the same side of the ground as the tea stall. Small covered terraces behind both goals, and simple standing on the dugout side of the pitch.
We sat in the stand, so the view was fine.
Programme sold at the turnstile.
Small toilets, fine for the small gate.
The clubhouse bar is just outside the turnstile entry. Tea and coffee in proper mugs for a pound.
Hot chocolate for a pound at the pitchside tea stall. We did not have the food, but must be fine, sold a number of burgers and chips.
Did not see any.
Turnstile operator, bar staff and tea lady all friendly.
Only 56 fans, but needless petty bickering between fans in the stand. Home fans constantly moaning at the referee and linesman, which was not justified. linesman in front of the stand, actually explained his decisions, with a smile. E&E players were so moany and being close to the pitch, we heard it all. Three booked for decent and a coach sent off. He caused problems after the final whistle. E&E were the better side and deserved a 2-0 lead, so we actually the comeback to 2-2, seemed poetic.
