Braunschweiger TSV Eintracht 1895 v RB Leipzig (Bundesliga 2) 15th August 2015
The pitch is surrounded by an athletics track, but it still has a great atmosphere. The home fans standing area fills one complete stand, so they generate a lot of noise. Really enjoyable match day experience.
The ground is easy to find on the outside of town. Plenty of free on-street parking nearby, shops, bars, etc.
Despite being the other side of the athletics track the view was good and the seats clean and with sufficient leg room.
Sufficient toilets, quiet clean.
Match programme on sale for one euro.
Good club shop.
There are stall outside the ground complex and a great range of stall inside the ground under the stands. Pizza and bratwurst were both cheap and tasty. Coffee cheap as well.
Lots of police outside the ground. I spoke to some and apparently the home fans are brilliant when things are going well, but they can be a real handful when things are going badly. No trouble at this game. Safe feeling, to and from the ground, and in the ground.
Friendly fans around us. Very loud home fans and they kept supporting their tem despite a two-nil loss. The home fans unveil the largest banner I have ever seen before the game as they sing the club songs, etc.
