Excellent modern ground with good facilities, worth a visit.
The ground was built on the outside of the city, not close to anything really. The ground is surrounded by thousands and thousands of car parking spaces. There is also a large bike rack. A couple of small supermarkets close to the ground, not much else. We found free on-street parking about a mile from the ground. Access around it, can be limited, which is surprising given the size of the ground, almost feels like the outside areas have not been finished properly.
We sat at the back of the top tier behind one goal, good sight lines, but it is high and far back from the pitch. You need to be good on steps.
Plenty of toilets.
Huge fan shop outside the ground.
Plenty of food outlets, good variety of food and drink, including bratwurst obviously.
Typically for a German league game, lots of police outside the ground. Plenty of stewards, all seemed fine. No trouble seen.
Eintracht Frankfurt brought a large number of good lively fans. Borussia Monchengladbach had a large singing section, so the atmosphere was excellent throughout. The game was a total non-event, never got going, both sides never took a risk, playing slow possession football, but both sets of fans stayed with their team.
