This is an excellent ground to visit. Easy to find, lots of good pubs, nice local fans, really good atmosphere in the ground and a very good view from where we were sat.
The only draw backs where the comfort of the seats and the less than practical positioning of the toilets.
The ground is really is easy to find and is sing posted from the station. There's quite a few goods pubs around the ground and the one we found was quite a big boat turned into a pub with real beer and friendly home fans.
Some people might think the walk to far but I consider a twenty minute walk quite reasonable especially when it is quite straightforward.
We were sat in the North stand quite a few rows back which may be different from other away fans if they were standing on the terraces behind the goal. There was some complaint from our fans before the game that the terrace behind the goal would not be open.
The position I was seated was excellent in a nice elevated position with a really good view of the pitch. There was one small upright post in the way but nothing too concerning.
The one draw back was the comfort of the seats. They were very old, wooden and didn't leave much leg room for those of any particular height.
The worse part of the experience at London Road was trying to use the toilets. Unfortunately they were just not big enough for the amount of fans in the stand. Also the toilets were right by the exit from the stand and caused incredible traffic and hence why I didn't bother going for food. I have a photo of this and will put it up.
Didn't try it because of the above situation with the queues.
Didn't really notice their presence which I guess is a good thing. They seemed friendly enough.
The atmosphere at the ground was really good. The home fans were not particularly loud but the part of the stand where we were made the atmosphere carry well which really added to the experience.
We met quite a few homes fans in the pub before the game and they were all really friendly and the whole day out was not intimidating at all.
