"hidden gem of football"

I went to Saputo over the summer, I had originally gon ethere to see the grand prix but I saw that CFM was playing Austin FC on the saturday. I went to the ground not expecting much. yet I was very pleasantly suprised by a very passionate and enjoyable experience. I would definitley visit Montréal for CFM again

Location

despite there being a bit of construction work around the ground, the parking was easy to get to and a nice walk to the ground around the olympic stadium from 1976.

View

the view from the far goal was the best part of the whole thing. I had a stunning view of the olympic tower and the match. I am a tall chap and I must say the legroom was ample, not quite as much as some english grounds but enough for comfort. my only complaint about the seats was that they were quite tightly packed together.

Facilities

the food & toilets are behind the stands along the left of the ground and around the near goal. the facilities are voluminous and clean.

Food & Drink

I got some reasonably good fried chicken & a hotdog. while the food quality was decent at best, the queues are next to none and the service was reasonable.

Police & Stewards

the stewards around Saputo did their job quietly and effeciently not needing to do much.

Atmosphere

the atmoshpere was one of the peaks of my time in Montréal. the fans were singing the entire time even when losing, the passion was inspiring yet also safe. at no point did I feel that the fans would get dangerous. Keeping in focus that due to the opposition being almost 2000 miles away. nontheless the cheers of "Allez, Allez, Allez Allez Allez, MONTRÉAL!" were reverberating around the stadium.
