visited blackpool to watch the tangerines play Reading last february. the ground itself was a very fun experience. quite sad being a Reading fan after the royals got hammered 4-1.
there is a parking lot right outside the ground with lots of space. it runs right nearby a trainstation and is less than a 5 minute walk from the centre of town. parking lot does get a bit jammed up due to there only being a solitary 2 way road heading out of town. blackpool as a whole town is a decepit old fun-fair town with the only charisma being the ground itself.
while the seats themselves were ok, the view was nonexistant yet the view of the match itself was decent
while some stands had good facilities others did not. this was partially due to the fact of each stand being built in a different period in blackpool's varied history.
the food was mediocre and the queues were unbelievable. the food area for the away fans was a concrete cell underneath the armfield south stand which stank of beer and cigarette smoke.
The Blackpool fans were singing in harmonius triumph for the full 90' they were quite aggresive towards the then new Reading manager Paul Ince. they also used some classic chants and overall made for a great experience.
