BMH has rated The Valley Stadium 4.0 out of 5.
Decent ground, being used for a WF tournament between IoM, Ireland, Wales & England - over 50's, 60's and 70's. All but IoM also had Ladies teams (different age groups) and there was a special appearance from a Peruvian team.
Just outside Redditch centre, near the railway station. Easy to get to
One end 'fenced off' otherwise remaining 3 sides all had cover, seating on two sides and a large terrace behind one goal. 'Astro' pitch. Unobstructed views from all 3 sides.
The main stand had a decent sized function room upstairs, with well stocked bar. Downstairs there was a cafe/cabin, and the grub was spot on. Pretty much all the ground (apart from one end) would be wheelchair accessible. Clean loos.
Proper burgers, not the flimsy plastic efforts you get at some grounds, chips and the usual you might expect (crisps + choccy) including baked potatoes (might just have been for the WF tournament) with one option of balti style sauce. Hot drinks as well. And
No Poliss but all stewards were good sorts & helpful.
Good ground, good event, good people. Very good day.
