BMH has rated The Mike Riding Ground 4.0 out of 5.
The final NWCFL Premier ground visited this season - 22/22 and it didn't disappoint.
A long list of postponements meant both teams had to play a 'double head' weekend, Longridge 2 homes 2 defeats and FCIOM 2 aways and 2 wins!
Perhaps the Sunday fixture enabled more to attend 374 (bolstered by 50/60 from IoM) compared to 174 the day before. A cold strong wind on a bright sunny day afforded good views of the Lancashire countryside.
FCIOM supporters coach took the M6 so far then a straightforward drive from there to the ground.
Similar to Lower Breck yesterday, only 3 sides available to spectators.
Standing only behind one goal, were kids were able to play their own games n the large grassed area.
A large covered standing area behind the other goal, with uncovered standing also.
Then the Clubhouse side - two covered stands (seating / standing?? take your pick) with a very good and busy clubhouse
Very good overall.
Very good. FCIOM supporters also visited the Alston pub before the game, 100 yards away, which was also very good.
No Police and excellent stewards
