BMH has rated The Crown Ground 4.0 out of 5.
EFL Trophy game. AS not clinical enough in front of goal and paid for it as Forest cleverly managed their way through a potentially tricky tie. 4 star rating is on basis of comparing this with other League Two grounds - without intending to be demeaning. Its a very modern, tidy ground with staff that treat you like mates. Other grounds/staff higher up the pyramid could take a leaf out of AS book.
Another FCIOM game postponed, so nearest option was AS - which was easy enough to drive to. Car park just to the rear of the ground.
All 4 sides are 'modern' and paid for within the clubs means apparently (so I was told). Three sides covered with an open end usually reserved for away fans. Home fans tend to congregate behind the covered standing end, with seating down both sides of the ground. Very modern well equipped bar/function room underneath/ within the main stand. Behind the home fans standing end, plenty of food and drink kiosks, but also lots of info / notice boards detailing Accys history, going out of the league, key personnel behind them retaining their status.
Very good.
Very good
No Police & stewards were just the salt of the earth types that have a chat with you & play it very low key.
