BMH has rated Silentnight Stadium 4.0 out of 5.
Loved this day out & ground visit.
Was sharing a car to get to the ground, otherwise might have been tricky to get to via public transport
Excellent view from all 4 sides.
One end backs on to a large house & garden so there is a pathway between it and the pitch.
The opposite end houses the fantastic clubhouse, (from which you can take drinks out on to a small standing area), changing rooms and small seated terrace.
Along one side by the dugouts is a covered standing terrace, on the opposite side an uncovered standing terrace.
The Club House end backs on to an open drain, from which the club and fans derive their nickname 'The Sewer Army' as suggested by a previous manager.
Good views all round, plenty of car parking at either end. Clubhouse very good.
Brilliant vibrant clubhouse with really friendly supporters & staff, many of whom we'd met in the reverse fixture.
The food was piping hot and 'proper' homemade stuff, not pappy bits of soggy cardboard. The beer was reasonably priced at £3, although if you paid £5, you got a Barnoldswick glass which in theory you could keep.
No Police.
Stewards = ace.
Supporters = ace.
Good banter with the Barlick supporters to each other and to/from the officials.
They made a howler (imo) in the 93rd minute with the linesman flagging for an offside which would have grabbed the home side a point. Not complaining, but the fella was way on side, both when the ball was passed & received.
Great day out here, albeit could be tricky to get to without a car.
