BMH has rated Riverside Ground 4.0 out of 5.
First away game of the season and another ground tick.
A decent set up, underpinning a club looking to get back into NPL after relegation last season. Could be a dark horse perhaps for the Play Offs?
Ramsbottom probably edged it on chances and looked as though they would win by a solitary 3rd minute goal. However a superb free kick from Dean Pinningtonon 90' looked to have snatched a point for FCIOM, only for Rammy to regain the lead and victory on 95' Enjoyed it.
Easy to get to. Drove from Heysham M6 on to A56 & dropped down into Ramsbottom.
Covered standing behind both goals. Cricket pitch is 'better' imo as it has 3 or 4 stepped terracing, so you're looking down on the pitch.
Covered seating on the river side, which also affords views over the cricket pitch adjoining the ground.
Decent facilities inside the ground, clean loos, busy portacabin selling food & drinks, programmes & badges.
No need for Police.
Stewards, volunteers and home supporters a decent crowd.
