BMH has rated Rivacre Park 4.0 out of 5.
Decent ground & facilities, decent game as well.
Ferry from IoM to Liverpool straightforward. Bus from Liverpool to Hooton crossroads, again straight forward. Then had a 10/15 minute walk which during daylight hours was not issue, but could be a bit tricky on a dark night ( no pavement ).
Excellent view of the pitch from all 4 sides. Two open ends for which the view is from ground level. A covered standing stand down one side, with another seated stand on the other side behind the dug outs. Some people took advantage from a higher viewing area at the clubhouse - not sure if that's available for everyone. Good view all round.
Spot on. Old style turnstile payment by cash or card. Good quality programme £2. Quid a goal ticket.
Then the excellent clubhouse - modern, clean, spacious, well staffed, well stocked with food and drink not, cold and alcoholic. (the players changing rooms are behind one goal away from the clubhouse)
Excellent range. Hot/cold food, hot/cold drinks and alcohol and all at decent prices, payable by cash or card. Could have the food inside or out. Dunno if you could take alcohol outside though. Couldn't fault it.
Only 170 or so there, so no atmosphere as such, but many folk were happy to have a chat.
