Enjoyed the trip to Rocester. Flew IoM -> Manchester, then train to Uttoxeter (with a change at Crewe) and then bus from Uttoxeter to the ground. Straight forward enough. The ground is very tidy, in the 'shadow' of a converted mill now used by JCB as a training academy. Two covered stands with a little cover just outside the club house as well. Decent club house with a small serving hatch for a limited amount of food on offer - but good stuff none the less. The game was not such a spectacle - heavy after a mid week game, and after further rain today resembled a skating rink.
See comments above. Easy enough to get to. A couple of other people I spoke to had got a taxi to the ground from Uttoxeter Station, which cost them £12.
Good unobstructed views all round the ground. Two roofed sections on either side of the ground, as well as some cover by the club house
Yeah - a decent modest ground.
Limited but decent priced. Cheerful ladies in the serving hatch.
The game was spoilt as a spectacle - heavy pitch to start, made worse with further rain, but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of a group of very young teens. The celebrated an injury time penalty like crazy, running half way around the ground to be near the Rocester players. Hopefully they'll get the bug of supporting their local team. Game finished 2-2.
