BMH has rated Evans Park 4.0 out of 5.
Whilst the rest of the country was in the grips of Storm Eunice, we managed to get a game of football in at Evans Park.
Fairly straightforward to get to - we were on the FCIOM team bus, so were dropped off right at the turnstiles, more or less!
The journey down the M6 was accompanied by sleet, rain, snow and gail force winds, although we knew the game was safe as the pitch at Evans Park is synthetic.
The result obviously helps -Stafford failed to take advantage of the very strong wind first half and the chances they created - but from arriving to leaving the rest of the time at the ground was excellent, in no small measure due to the welcome from the officials and supporters.
Sat in the Keith Mottershead Stand, which has approx 190 / 200 seats and affords excellent views over the pitch. Also took a walk around the pitch which is surrounded by a railing - views unobstructed, but not covered / sheltered, so today did the tour then back in the stand.
Programme on the gate. Club badge from the shop which had two serving hatches - one out to the stand and the other in the warm and cosy club house.
Plenty of decent warm food (pasties / sausage rolls) with plenty of other snacks as well. Decent selection of tinned beers and warm drinks.
No Police, but all the stewards / club officials were decent sorts. Able to chat away with them. A real decent welcome from them.
