BMH has rated Barton Stadium 3.0 out of 5.
Poor game mainly due to conditions. Heavy, long grassed, bumpy pitch didn't help either team.
Winsford made the most of it with Nathan Cotterell bagging a hat trick.
Easy enough to get to via train. With a 15 minute walk from the station to the ground.
The ground is bowl shaped due to it being previously used as a greyhound stadium (as well as football). One or two relics remain, but overall a good view from wherever you stand in the ground.
Seated covered stand down one side which houses the club house and changing rooms.
Covered standing area along the other side.
Decent-ish clubhouse which was very busy.
Large food 'kiosk' along from the clubhouse just by the entrance, which served some decent hot food at reasonable prices.
See 'Facilities' rating.
No Police, but as usual at NWCFL the stewards were all very welcoming.
There was a 'buzz' in the clubhouse, but outside because the ground is very 'open' and it was cold/windy and theme was poor, the atmosphere was at best subdued.
On another day this would be a good ground to visit, was just pleased to get back inside to be honest!
