Went here for a League One match between Wycombe Wanderers and Southampton. The ground is situated at the very back of an industrial estate but once you get there the location is actually quite nice. The away end was bouncing and the atmosphere was great, even though it was one of the most boring 0-0 draws I've ever seen!
You have to drive through an industrial estate to find the ground but the location is actually quite nice. The ground is overlooked by small hills covered in trees on most sides which gives it a feeling of seclusion.
Excellent view of the pitch from the behind the goal in the away end. You can see all four corners of the ground from there. As for comfort, the away fans stood throughout the match so I never actually sat down.
The coach parking was spacious and right next to the ground so there was no distance to walk for the away fans. The shop was well laid out and well stocked with merchandise, and there were also programme kiosks scattered around outside the ground. The food kiosk was busy as there was only one for the away fans.
At half time I had some of the most delicious chips with curry sauce I've ever had. There was a good choice of food and drink, and of course the traditional pies and bovril.
Didn't notice a police presence but the locals were friendly enough so I didn't really see any need for it anyway. There were plenty of stewards keeping an eye on the away fans, but then you will get that at most grounds.
The atmosphere in the away end was amazing, but I didn't hear much from the home fans. Whether that was because there was absolutely nothing to get excited about on the pitch or I just could't hear them over the vociferous Southampton fans around me, I don't know.
