The city of Venice has put forward plans for a new sports complex which would include a 16,000 seater stadium for Venezia.
The Serie A side have been looking for a move away from the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo which is mainly surrounded by water, making it difficult to get to on busy matchdays.
The new project would be built in Tessera to the north of the city, close to the airport. It would also include a 10,000 seater arena and a large area of green space.
If it goes ahead, the project is expected to cost around £280m. No timeframe has been given yet.

Salford City have confirmed that they will spend next season at the current Moor Lane stadium.
The announcement comes as the League Two club look to buy the AJ Bell stadium from local rugby sides Salford Red Devils and Sale Sharks. City have been keen on a move to the bigger stadium, but the sale will not be sanctioned until a new home has been found for the rugby sides.
The AJ Bell Stadium sits around 6 miles away from Moor Lane, close to the Trafford Centre and junction 11 of the M60.
Salford are hoping to move into the AJ Bell Stadium in time for the 2023/2024 season.

Plans for a new stadium close to the Canadian city of Toronto have been revealed.
The new facility would include an 8,000 capacity stadium and 38,000ft training facility with grass pitches designed to meet FIFA's professional standards.
It is proposed that the new venue would serve as a training base for international sides preparing for major tournaments. Toronto FC's BMO Field is likely to be a host city for the 2026 World Cup - a new state-of-the-art facility close to the ground would be in-demand by visiting nations.
There is also talk that the new stadium could serve as the permanent home of Canadian Premier League side York United FC.

Dundee have unveiled plans for a new 15,000 seater stadium.
The Scottish Premiership club have been looking to move away from Dens Park for a number of years and have now revealed plans for a new facility to be built in the Camperdown Park area of the city - approximately 4 miles away from Dens Park.
The stadium would be part of a wider facility which would incorporate a hotel and conference venue as well as retail and leisure facilities.
No costings or timescales have been given as the club looks to seek planning permission from the local council.

Blackpool are reportedly planning to build a brand new East Stand at Bloomfield Road.
Local newspaper, the Blackpool Gazette has unearthed the plans from council documents as part of a wider £39m regeneration of the area.
The current East Stand is a temporary structure, hastily erected when the club reached the Premier League in 2010. The club currently sit mid-table in the Championship.
The old stand would be knocked down in 2024 and replaced with a new 4,600 capacity structure in 2025.
The proposal also shows some redevelopment work to the North Stand to include a new club shop, bar and ticket office.

Man Utd are exploring their options as the club looks to improve the experience for fans attending matches.
One of the options on the table is a complete rebuild of the stadium which would include Man Utd finding another ground to play at whilst Old Trafford is knocked down and rebuilt. The new stadium would likely be around 90,000 capacity, making it level with Wembley Stadium as the second biggest ground in Europe.
This is likely to be the clubs least preferred option as it would mean playing away from Old Trafford for a number of years. Close rivalry makes groundsharing at either the Etihad or Anfield unlikely.
Another option being explored is a rebuild of the Sir Bobby Charlton South Stand. This had previously been downplayed due to the railway line which runs behind the stand. However, improvements in building materials could now make this a viable alternative.
A rebuilt South Stand would mean reduced capacity at matches whilst the work is being undertaken. The overall capacity of Old Trafford would likely rise to over 80,000 if this option is given the green light.

Sevilla are assessing their stadium options, with the possibility of expanding the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan or moving into a brand new stadium.
The La Liga giants have hired a consultancy firm and will survey season ticket holders asking what they would like to see from their team's home stadium.
The Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan has been Sevilla's home since 1956, with an initial capacity of 70,000. This has been cut over the years to the current figure of 44,000.
The club had announced plans to build a third tier before Covid-19, which would have brought capacity up to 60,000. Those plans are still on the table, however building a brand new stadium is also a possibility.

Fulham will open the lower tier of their new Riverside Stand next season.
The whole stand had initially been due to open at the start of the current campaign, but was delayed due to Covid. The whole stand will now be ready for the start of the 2023/2024 season, with season tickets available in the lower tier for next season.
Once complete, the new stand will increase the capacity of Craven Cottage to 29,600.
The Championship club are looking good for an immediate return to the Premier League.

New MLS expansion side Charlotte FC have set a new all-time MLS attendance record.
The North Carolina club attracted a crowd of 74,479 for the first ever home game. The match was played at Bank of America Stadium which the club are sharing with the Carolina Panthers NFL team.
The previous attendance record for an MLS match was set at the 2018 MLS Cup Final when 73,019 watched Atlanta United beat Portland Timbers 2-0 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta.
Charlotte FC's attendance is bigger than any Premier League attendance in the last 3 years.

Senegal have opened their new national stadium.
The Stade Me Abdoulaye Wade is named after the country's former president and was opened with a friendly match between a Senegal legends XI and African all-star team.
The new 50,000 seater stadium is located around 20 miles away from the capital Dakar, in the new city of Diamniadio.
Also known as the Stade du Senegal, the new stadium cost around £200m to build. The wider complex also includes two training grounds, one of which includes an athletics track and 2,000 seater grandstand.

Russia has been stripped off the rights to host this year's Champions League final due to their invasion of Ukraine.
The final had been due to be played at the Gazprom Arena in St Petersburg. However, the match will now be played at the Stade de France in Paris.
The date of the match will remain unchanged, kicking off at 8pm UK time on Saturday May 28.

Villarreal are to invest €20m in updating their El Madrigal stadium.
The La Liga outfit become the latest club to announce stadium improvement works after the investment in the league by global investment company CVC Capital Partners.
The plans will see no increase in the current 23,500 capacity, with Villarreal instead using the money to ensure that all seats in the stadium are covered by the roof. A number of other improvements will be focused around giving fans a more comfortable experience when they attend matches.
Work is expected to start before the end of the season and be completed by the end of the year. It is expected that Villarreal will need to play away from the stadium during this period, with Levante's Ciutat de Valencia a possible option. Playing in Valencia would result in an 80-mile round trip for fans to attend home matches whilst the work is underway.
