Nigeria is to build a new 25,000 seater football stadium in the city of Yenagoa.
The project is backed by the country's former prime minister and is the first step in the Nigerian Football Federation's plan to build at least 6 new stadiums that meet FIFA's standards.

Everton's new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock has staged its first test event as 10,000 fans saw the club's U18 team take on Wigan Athletic.
It is the first of 3 test events before the stadium fully opens next season.
Everton lost the match 2-1 with Wigan's Harrison Runner scoring the stadium's first goal.

SC Braga have opened a new stadium for their women's team.
The Estadio Amelia Morais has a capacity of 2,500 and will also play host to the men's B team.
The stadium forms part of a sports city which also includes 9 training pitches.

Paris FC will move into the Stade Jean-Bouin from the start of the 2025/26 season.
The 20,000 seater stadium is located right next to PSG's Parc des Princes meaning we could have two Ligue 1 grounds next to each other, if Paris FC get promoted.
Paris FC were subject to a high-profile takeover last year by a consortium including energy drinks giant Red Bull.

Egyptian side Al Ahly has revealed plans for a new 42,000 seater stadium close to Sphinx International Airport. The ground will be expandable up to a capacity of 57,000 when hosting concerts.
The new stadium is due to open in 2029 and will form part of a new sports city which will also include a university, hospital and mosque.

National League North side Marine AFC are planning to build a new 5,000 capacity stadium.
Based in Merseyside, the ground will be part of a wider development including a community hub, gym, hotel and wellbeing hub.
Approximately 250 new homes are also due to be constructed on the site with planning permission due to be applied for this summer. If successful, it is hoped that work on the new stadium could start in 2027.

Italian side Como have revealed plans to redevelop their Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia stadium.
The club were promoted back to Serie A at the end of last season and are now looking to modernise the venue and increase its capacity from 10,000 up to 15,000-20,000.
The work would be undertaken in 2 stages with a target completion date in time for the start of the 2028/29 season.

Brazilian giants Flamego have revealed plans for a new 78,000 super stadium.
The new ground will cost over £250m and become one of the largest stadiums in South America. The stadium is designed to be over 60m tall and will see fans located much closer to the pitch than at the Maracana.
It is hoped that the new ground will open in 2029.

Morocco has opened its newest football stadium with the first game held at the new 11,000 seater Grande Stade Al-Hoceima.
The stadium is located in the north of the country and cost around £35m to build. Its first game saw Comoros beat Madagascar 1-0 in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Italian Serie C club SS Arezzo has revealed plans for a massive rebuild of their stadium.
The club is intending to completely rebuild 3 of the stands at its current ground and also renovate the main stand. The new capacity will be around 12.500 with all seats covered.
The project is expected to cost around £25m and will be delivered in a way that will allow Arezzo to continue using the stadium throughout.

Work has started on expanding Seville's La Cartuja stadium. The projectile see several improvements to the ground including the removal of the running track, bringing the stands closer to the pitch and increasing the capacity from 57,000 to 75,000.
The work will make La Cartuja the third largest stadium in Spain with the ultimate aim of becoming the country's national stadium, as well as hosting matches at the 2030 World Cup.
The stadium will also be used at temporary homes for both Sevilla and Real Betis who are looking to undertake work on their own home stadiums in the coming years.

Ipswich Town are exploring possibilities of redeveloping Portman Road - potentially increasing capacity of 40,000.
The club is competing in its first Premier League campaign in over 20 years and has recently purchased land behind the stadium that could fuel redevelopment of the oldest Cobbald Stand.
However, the club is considering expansion of the West Stand first as this would cause less of a capacity reduction than knocking down and rebuilding the Cobbald Stand.
