Stoke 2 Notts County 0, around Xmas 1978. We scored after 2mins, it was on Star Soccer the next day and we went up that season. Fantastic.
4-0 against Wolves in 84 to stay up was amazing, the 2-0 at Vale Park in 92-93 was one of the most drunken days of all time, and seemed to seal promotion and is never to be forgotten/remembered. Every game against West Brom. A last minute equaliser at Anfield was also very enjoyable. Too many other really good games have been watched on telly with me in Germany though sadly.
Wigan 4 Stoke 0. The grass bank, rain, and humiliation. At least that was the end of Alan Ball. Most games at the Gay Meadow were grim and 6-0 at Swindon took some doing.
Wembley of the north.
The most hideous bunch of thugs on the planet, and I dont mean the fans.
