Rovers v QPR in 2009, I won a pair of tickets through school and we won 2-0.
Best Game
Either Grimsby away last season (L2 16/17) where we won 5-1, or Crewe at home the season before, 2-1 down on the 89th minute, scored 2 in 90 seconds during added time.
Worst Game
Away at Scunthorpe (L1 15/16), big local game, sold out the away end and lost 2-0. It was the first time Scunthorpe did the double on us in about 28 years.
Might seem like a strange one but there was just something about it. Every time I pointed something out wrong with it and called it a dump I started to love the place more. It's imperfections gave it some character, unlike the usual soulless bowls that are all over the place. It made me wish that I had gone to Belle Vue when I was younger.
The atmosphere was dead, it was obvious that Wigan are a rugby league town (or city?) and not a football one.
